Verification Contest - 1st Edition

On April 27th, 2007 we had the 1st Edition of “Miki Denes Verification Contest”. The contest was addressed to junior engineers from Bucharest and Brasov with less than 3 years NoBug experience, on May 1st, 2007.

The purpose of the contest was:

• Check your knowledge against usual project traps.
• Check your knowledge against what you used to know once…
• Just another subject of discusion with the colleagues
• Put yourself in competition mood, in a pleasant, non-critical, relaxing way…

The contest consisted in 2 parts:

1. Complete the verification documents provided for a given DUT (2 hours)
   Starting from documents already at their disposal (DUT specification, initialized checkers and coverage items lists), participants were expected to add relevant items.
2. e Language challenges (2 hours)
   Participants were requested to solve 5 problems related to various aspects of “e” language

We had 31 participants and 4 big winners: 1 1st prize, 2 ex-aeque 2nd prize and 1 3rd prize.
